CAT 2009: IIMs rule out retest.

Article Posted by Top Coaching Experts

The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and the Human Resource Development (HRD) ministry have announced that the CAT 2009 will not be taken again. Those who haven't taken their test yet due to problems at their test centre will get a chance to take their test again as new dates will be available in the mid of January, said Prof. Barua, Director IIM -A.

This update has attracted the ire of thousands of students across the country who felt that they have made guinea pigs and a retest should have been done. Though taking a retest would have meant huge expenditure on conducting the exam and a mental catharsis for those who have worked hard for an year and did their exams well. Though, it does mean that a few thousands will have to appear in the exam again it also ensures that the whole lot of students who have done their exams properly are not affected and the 2010-2012 batch commences on time.
